About

Edwin Jans ( Dordrecht, 1976) lives and works in Rotterdam. Studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. 'My work is a combination of construction and archeology in which the passage of time plays an important role. Shapes are added, removed or can still be vaguely seen as memories from a diary. It is not so much about the application of color and form, but about a combination of evoking a background which is a stage for characters and invisible life to make a reality on a different level.'
